Delivery can be arranged at an extra cost depending on availability, calculated at $1 per kilometre each way. Otherwise pick up is from Keysborough at a mutually convenient time.
If you choose to pick up your cake, the best place to transport it is actually the clean, empty boot of the car as it is the flattest area. The cake will be boxed and a non-skid mat will be provided to ensure your cake doesn’t move. But please drive carefully – pretend you have a new born in the back seat! If the boot is not available, then the front footwell on the passenger seat side is the next best position. I do not recommend passengers carrying a cake on their lap as they are quite heavy and awkward to hold. Always take the cake inside as soon as possible as you don’t want a melted cake in your boot. Fondant covered cakes do not need refrigeration as I do not use fresh cream fillings. Buttercream cakes are chilled for transport stability, but generally speaking only need to be left in a cool place. During warmer weather however, it is best to keep them inside the box in the fridge.
